Sydney Uni Fencing Club

Sydney University Fencing Club is the oldest University fencing club in NSW, having been founded in 1945. The club currently has over 100 members.

Club Training

All three weapons (foil, epee, sabre) are fenced at Sydney Uni Fencing Club.

The Club welcomes members of all standards, and has a large amount of equipment available for the use of members during club training.

Training times are:

  • Saturdays
    2.00pm - 4:45pm

Training sessions normally begin with a group footwork/fitness activity. Once that is finished, electric strips are set up for bouting. Coaches are also available for private tuition.

9 week beginners' courses are run by Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness in each University semester.

Venue

The Club trains at the The Arena Sports Centre, on the corner of Western Avenue and Physics Road at the University of Sydney. View location on Google Maps.

If you're taking public transport, the closest bus stop is on the corner of Parramatta Rd and Ross Street; from the city, buses 435, 436, 437, 438, 440, 461 and 480 all stop there.
